UMass Boston ADAGE (Addressing Digital Access Gaps in Education) Program

The UMass Boston ADAGE (Addressing Digital Access Gaps in Education) Program is a grant-funded initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce. The overarching goal of the program is to bridge access to professional development, physical technology and technological skills within the UMass Boston community and surrounding neighborhoods.

We’re looking for current UMass Boston students who are:

  • BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and/or other People of Color)
  • Currently receiving a Pell-Grant
  • Interested in tech-related careers, regardless of major (e.g., cybersecurity, software engineering, UX design, etc.)
  • Willing to commit to participating in the program through at least the end of January 2025

What UMB students get by joining:

  • Access to free Professional Development courses in the tech sector, designed to get you exposed to skills and careers in the tech industry 
  • free Microsoft Go Laptop and Pre-paid Verizon Wi-Fi Hotspot (pre-paid for two years) that you will get to keep after the program
