Mathworks Scholars Program

The MathWorks Scholars Program is a career-readiness initiative for UMass Boston students that is generously funded by MathWorks, a Natick-based company. This program relies on a cohort model and through different opportunities such as scholarships, curricular support and paid internships, this program aims to expand early-career opportunities for UMass Boston students. This program also stands to increase the number of people from underrepresented and marginalized communities to work in Massachusetts’ technology sector. This program is a first of its kind, as a scholarship funded by an external company for UMass Boston students specifically and we hope it will be a prototype for future partnerships with other Boston based companies.
