The CASE Advancement Internship is an eight-week summer internship designed to increase the number of individuals with diverse experiences in educational advancement.
It is a full-time position at a host college, university, or independent school where interns receive on-the-job training and gain valuable skills in the four professional areas of advancement: fundraising and development, alum relations, advancement services, and communications and marketing.
For a student interested in a career in advancement, the CASE Advancement Internship will provide you with real advancement experience that you can put on your resume while offering you the opportunity to build your network of advancement professionals from your host institution and CASE members leading the program. You’ll also meet hundreds of students from across the US, Europe, and Canada who are passionate about advancement.
Interns typically receive a $5,000 stipend or an hourly wage. In-person and remote opportunities are also available.
Eligibility: This internship is open to undergraduate and graduate students.

Attention Seniors and Recent Graduates !!!!!
If you are a graduating senior or recent graduate you are also eligible to apply for our Graduate Trainee Program.
The CASE Graduate Trainee Program is a 50-week (July 2025-June 2026) compensated program where participants will work full-time at an educational institution across North America, receiving a full-time entry-level salary and benefits. Throughout the year, participants experience the fundamentals of advancement such as prospect research, donor cultivation, the art of making “the ask,” alumni engagement, and connecting with audiences through communication and marketing. Candidates must obtain a bachelor’s degree by July 2025 and be able to work in North America without sponsorship.
