The Summer of Service Member will assist in the presentation of the summer enrichment program to children aged 4 to 7, including planning and incorporating STEAM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) into the daily activities. The Member will serve one-on-one and in small groups and encourage activities that will prevent summer slide and increase literacy skills. The Member will provide weekly direct service at partnering Early Head Start and Preschool sites. Members will engage in service to the community through AmeriCorps planned service projects, as well as attend team meetings and training as part of the service term.
