The Team

A&M’s Tax Financial Services team specializes in providing tax support to global banks, private equity firms, and hedge funds. Our professionals have significant experience in complex financial instruments, business transactions, specializing in structuring global business operations and navigating regulatory and tax requirements across jurisdictions. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional value to our clients by understanding their unique needs and providing tailored tax solutions. How you will contribute

As a member of the Tax Financial Services team, you will:

Assist with the tax compliance process for partners’ estimates, quarterly estimated extensions payments, extensions and annual compliance filings for pass through and corporate entities

Assist in research and analysis of a wide variety of tax issues

Participate in potential tax-planning and consulting projects

Attend client calls to understand critical areas of importance and apply tax technical knowledge to specific client situations

Assist with creating deliverables that are concise, complete and address the elements deemed critical by the client

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and clearly communicate work plan, project objectives, and timelines

Seek out opportunities to understand others’ experiences, perspectives, and differences

Build internal relationships with other members of the Tax team

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Familiarity with state and local tax compliance requirements is preferred

CPA (or in the process of pursuing)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely

Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills

Experience with all Microsoft Office products (with an emphasis on Excel)

Ability to simultaneously work on several projects and effectively manage deadlines

High motivation to learn and grow

Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills

Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for employment-based sponsorship now or in the future. A&M will not sponsor applicants for US work visa status for this role

Compensation Statement

The annual base salary is $90,000, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.

Benefits Summary

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined periodically as well as a 401(k)-retirement savings plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive an annual discretionary contribution to their 401(k)-retirement savings plan from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
