Our Academic & Career Advisors are here to support you throughout your undergraduate journey and beyond. We help you build on your unique strengths and experiences to get the most out of your time at UMass Boston and prepare for a successful career.

Academic Advising & Course Registration

We provide academic advising for undergraduate students who are:

  • Undeclared in the College of Liberal Arts
  • Undeclared in the College of Science and Mathematics
  • College of Management with fewer than 60 credits

Note:
If you have a declared major or are in the College of Management with over 60 credits, please connect with your assigned advisor in your college. For a list of advising centers, then please visit the UMB Advising website.

We also advise students who are interested in applying to:

  • The Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences
  • The College of Management

Career Success Advising

Career advising is open to all undergraduate students, regardless of major. We offer support with:

  • Major and career exploration
  • Resume and cover letter reviews
  • Internship and job search strategies
  • LinkedIn and networking guidance
  • Interview preparation and practice interviews
  • Pre-law advising
